About Me

I’m a former biologist with a deep appreciation for the intricate web of connections that sustain our natural ecosystems. My background has taught me that every plant, insect, and soil organism plays a part in creating a healthy, balanced environment — and that knowledge shapes the way I design landscapes today.

When I began gardening in Louisiana, I wanted to create a beautiful backyard filled with lush tropical plants. But like many gardeners here, I quickly ran into challenges: plants that looked stunning in summer struggled through our winter freezes, needed to be moved indoors, and required far more care than expected.

That frustration led me to a powerful realization — the plants that thrive here are the ones that belong here.

By shifting to Louisiana native plants, I discovered landscapes that evolve gracefully with the seasons, support local wildlife, and require less maintenance. What began as a personal solution became a passion and ultimately a business: helping others create outdoor spaces that are not only beautiful, but resilient, seasonal, and deeply connected to this place we call home.

Today, I design in-ground landscapes, container gardens, and floral arrangements rooted in the natural rhythms of Louisiana. My goal is to bring ease, beauty, and ecological harmony to every space I create.

Mission

We design and cultivate native plant gardens—both in-ground and in containers—that help Baton Rouge’s urban landscapes thrive with authenticity and life.
